Age Guideline 7-9 years old*.
This program is for children who have learnt the basics and are
ready
for ‘lite’ competition
with a soft ball. We have a modified game
environment
where teams can bowl and bat using cones where necessary.
We find that as children develop competence they often seek a game
situation.
At this stage we are also drawing a distinction between
the Milo program and more
advanced junior cricketers. A year 4 child
often wants a clear separation from the younger
preppies learning
the basics. A different shirt and approach provides for these needs.
All sessions are conducted at Cheong Park.
There is plenty of
parking overlooking the oval
and a grassy bank to sit on and watch
your children have fun.
Parents who want to be involved are encouraged to be a part of the evenings activities.
