Please find attached a very important update that will give you all a great insight as to how the club has had to pivot and adapt in order to be able to return to training and playing.
At this stage the social rooms remain closed under State Government retrictions but we will advise you as soon as there is a positive change here. Please note that we are all required to download an app to automate the recording of our details and the time and date of our access and egress from Cheong Park - contact tracing cricket style. Further details in this attachment.
We will also have a paper based register for those of us who may not have a phone that supports this technology BUT we will need to check in with our covid officers - another role that club volunteers have embraced in order that your club can play cricket.
Enjoy the grand final weekend and looking forward to seeing you all very soon - from behind a mask of course!

South Croydon Senior Cricket 2020/21

As the season approaches, we need to get some clear commitment from players so that we can put in place our Covid Safe Training groups to allow us to move forward.
Can we please get a response from all players with their intention of playing or not playing this year and the amount of training you will be able to commit to.
Please let us know your answers to the following questions.
●Are you intending on playing cricket at South Croydon this season?
●Can you train Tuesday Night only?
●Can you train Thursday Night only?
●Can you train both nights?
●Are there any dates during the season that you will be unavailable to play?
These are basic questions, but we need to know the answers to create training groups of 10 to meet our obligations to be able to move forward. This season will be like no other that you have participated in. We will not be able to interact with other groups while at training, so handshakes and high fives are out. The finer details will be outlined to the groups once we know who is committed to the season and training nights.
Cricket in a pandemic is a privilege not a right, so no matter what you think about how we got to this stage, we will have to abide by the protocols so we can get out and play cricket with our mates.
We have a lot to work through in a short space of time so the sooner you get your responses back the sooner we can organize our training schedule.
If you know of anyone that does not get any of this information, please forward it on.
Please let either Myself or Dobbo know asap
